“Witness the reinvention of glam rock” — that’s how Rolling Stone summed up “the buzz” around Brooklyn’s Amazing Baby. Although technically still only a toddler — born on New Year’s Day 2008 — Amazing Baby already sounds like a band ready to storm arenas. The core duo of singer Will Roan and guitarist Simon O’Connor cooks up an arresting mix of T-Rex/Roxy Music-style glam (with more than a little Queen in there, too) and trippy, folky psychedelia reminiscent of Their Satanic Majesties Request-era Rolling Stones. By the time they hit Lollapalooza, Amazing Baby will have already toured with MGMT and Cold War Kids, and celebrated the June release of their full-length debut.
