Any act with the gall (or is it balls?) to name itself after the infamous 1992 riots that shook the City of Angels in the aftermath of the Rodney King verdict seems to be asking for trouble — but ever since LA Riots exploded onto the scene in 2007, the DJ/producer duo of Daniel LeDisko and Jo’B has been showered with only buzz, buzz and more buzz. JFK of MSTRKRFT has called them “the best DJs in L.A.,” while Urb raves, “LA Riots are in the business of crafting straight-up, hot-as-shit club bangers, and they’re not messing around.” A sampling of LA Riots’ most notorious remixes to date include tracks by N*E*R*D, Justice, the Bravery, Chromeo, Hot Chip, Weezer, the Cure and Chris Cornell (featuring Timbaland).
