Chicago’s Moneypenny is the head spinning team of DJ Mother Hubbard (Chess Hubbard) and DJ A-Cup (Jessica Gonyea). The two met as pre-teen, Bowie-obsessed children and have been lifelong friends and sometime partners in electro music ecstasy ever since. Separately, Hubbard co-founded the Life During Wartime dance party with DJ Bald Eagle, and Gonyea, when not working her magic on a turntable or keyboard, is a professional costume and set designer (a trade that comes in handy in her music career, too). Put ’em together, and it’s a double-trouble disco inferno waiting to happen.
